Planet Snoopy Construction Update! Previous sweetFrog Hopping Into Kings Dominion! Next

The 2013 season is approaching rather quickly which means the park is kicking into high gear to get the park ready for opening day on March 29th! Today’s post included some new pictures of work being done at the Planet Snoopy site and a little information about a ton of new shows coming to Kings Dominion in 2013.

Shows

MoonMaxx Productions has recently announced on their Facebook page that they will be producing five shows for Kings Dominion in 2013. The list of new shows are as follows: On Broadway, Karaoke Superstars, Pop Fusion, and Street Beats. Additionally, to the four listed previously, MoonMaxx will also be bringing back “Got Country” which premiered last year. Also, All Wheel Sports Inc. announced on their Facebook page that they’ll be flipping into the park for the 2013 season as well. I’ve included a few pictures of the team in action at Cedar Point during the 2011 season below. If you’re interested in seeing the rest of the album, it can be found on All Wheel Sports Facebook page, here.

Planet Snoopy

According to pictures posted to Kings Domion’s Facebook page and sweetFrog’s Facebook page, quite a bit of work has been done on the Planet Snoopy site since the last real update from the park. Rides have arrived, installation has begun, and buildings are beginning to take shape.

The first two pictures were posted to Kings Dominion’s Facebook page and give a nice look at one of the vehicles for Woodstock Whirlybirds. The third picture is a screen shot taken from the park’s construction webcam on February 26th which shows Woodstock Whirlybirds fully installed at its new home.

Lastly, the official page for Kings Dominion’s sweetFrog shop has been providing an impressive stream of updates (more impressive than those provided by the park to be honest) which have been included below. It’s clear that they still have a considerable amount of work left to do before opening day, but it’s nice to see progress being made.
