February 11th #KD40 Construction Update Previous KD40 Birthday Bash: A Coaster Enthusiast Event Next

Kings Dominion just released a few pictures of the park covered in snow, but the way I look at it, it’s a mini update of some of the enhancements that we will be seeing this upcoming season!

International Street Fountains

The fountains will  feature a new LED lighting package and some additional refurbishments.

 Volcano: The Blast Coaster

So far what we have heard is that the mountain will undergo a multi-year renovation project as well as an enhanced entrance and exit that will result in more riders per hour. Here is some of the latest pictures of the queue house and its surroundings:

Anaconda

Anaconda will be receiving a much needed coat of paint to help brighten up Safari Village. The track and supports will remain the same color. As seen below, nothing has been done yet.

Floral Clock

The iconic clock will be located in its original location at the end of the center street (the Snoopy Starlight’s Spectacular pathway).

That is all of the update for #KD40, but here are some more pictures of Kings Dominion covered in a blanket of snow!

Do you have any photos of the park during its “golden years?” The park is asking for people to send in photos to social@kingsdominion.com so that your photo can be displayed in an in-park mosaic! The last day to submit your photos is March 31st!
