Opening day is just 21 days away which will begin the first part of their 40th celebration! Employees are being trained, rides are being tested, and more importantly construction is still under way! This update is small, but shows a lot of progress of some of the key elements going into this year’s celebration.

The new ‘Fountains and Floats’ restaurant is coming along very nicely. It’s nice to see them using the same building style for the extension.
The new/ old floral clock is almost ready for the the plants and shrubs to be put in place!
The mushrooms are almost ready to be installed. The base looks to be complete. There might be a few other minor details to go through, but the main structure is now ready.
Flying Eagles has received new paint. This is minor, but will help make the area look more fresh.
Yesterday, Kings Dominion posted new photos of Starlight Gifts which is bring transformed to feature all of the #KD40 merchandise (pins, shirts, and more!). The store will feature a few reproductions of the uniforms worn from the 70’s.
Yesterday (Saturday), Kings Dominion released a hint at something we will see this season…
Kings Dominion is asking if you have memories at the park… if you do, they want you to create a 30 – 90 second video of you sharing your memory(s) from the past 40 years! Email your entries tosocial@kingsdominion.com to possibly be in the next #KD40 flashback video! Please submit any entries before Friday, March 21st.
Do you have any photos of the park during its “golden years?” The park is asking for people to send in photos to social@kingsdominion.com so that your photo can be displayed in an in-park mosaic! Submissions end March 31st!
